The Intermediate
Rider Course is approximately 8 hours long, and is done completely
on the range using your personal motorcycle or scooter.
If you are taking the class to waive the DOL testing requirements
for 2-wheeled only motorcycle endorsement, the class includes
a written and riding test. A Completion Card will be mailed to
you to take to the DOL upon successful completion of the course.
If you are attending for the purposes of obtaining a license
waiver you will not be allowed to ride the course with a passenger. |
|
Pacific
NorthWest Motorcycle Safety has a strict "8 days
from the class" cancellation and/or reschedule policy.
If you need to cancel your registration or reschedule we must
hear from you more than 8 days prior to the class start
hour/date. If you don't contact us or call more than 8 days before
your class starts, any money paid for a class will be forfeit
and there will be NO refunds. |

IMPORTANT!
PLEASE READ: |
|
1. You must be able
to get your bike to the range legally, which means that if
you don't already have a motorcycle endorsement you must have
a Learner's Permit. If you ride your bike to the class,
the instructor will request to see one or the other. If you have
neither, you could trailer your bike to the range. |
|
2. The minimum
liability insurance is required on your motorcycle for
you to attend this class. Make sure that you bring your insurance
card with you. The instructor will request to see it. |
|
3. You must provide
proof of ownership of the bike you are going to
ride in the class. Normally, the registration on the bike with
your name on it will meet this requirement. If the bike is not
yours, you must have a written, notorized letter from the owner
giving you permission to ride the bike. The bike and you must
still meet all the above requirements. |
|
4. The IRC assumes
that you already have basic motorcycle control skills,
and/or that you have taken the Novice Rider Course. The first
exercise in the IRC is a warm up for you and your bike, and it
is also to assure the Instructors that you have the necessry
skills to safely participate in the follow-on exercises. Students
who are unable to demonstrate sufficient skills in the first
exercise will be counseled out of the course and advised to register
for the NRC. No refunds will be provided if you cannot demonstrate
basic control skills. |
