The Novice
Rider Course is a 16 hour Motorcycle Safety Foundation curriculum
for novice riders. It begins with "This is a motorcycle."
and progresses through basic skills training, street survival
strategies, and some advanced skills training. Pacific NorthWest
Motorcycle Safety teaches this course in both two day and two
and a half day sessions. There is no difference in the classes
except for class times. There is also no difference in the curriculum
for the Subsidized and the Unsubsidized classes. |
|
|
|
Passing
this course will waive further testing for a Washington State
DOL "2-wheeled only" motorcycle endorsement on your
Drivers License. You will still have to pay the endorsement fee. |
|
|
|
Pacific
NorthWest Motorcycle Safety has a strict "8 days
from the class" cancellation and/or reschedule policy.
If you need to cancel your registration or reschedule we must
hear from you more than 8 days prior to the class start
hour/date. If you don't contact us or call more than 8 days before
your class starts, any money paid for a class will be forfeit
and there will be NO refunds. |
|
Please do
not be late for any class session. Washington state law states
that you must attend the entire class to successfully
pass the course. If you arrive too late to continue in the class
there will be NO refund of the class fee. If you want
to reschedule for a new class you must pay for that class. Also
if you are late for the beginning of the class there are usually
stand-bys waiting to take your place. |
|
In accordance with Washington
state law, you must take the Novice course on our motorcyles
(see our FAQ
pages for exceptions). If you are interested in taking the Novice
Rider Course on of our scooters
or you want to ride your own, please go HERE
for more information. If you want to take the NRC on a scooter
you have to let us know so we can reserve one for you. |
|
|
|
If a class
you're interested in is marked Full, please check back at a later
date, "cancellations happen" and will be reflected
on the schedule below. |
|
We also
accept "stand-by's". Go to our FAQ page to see
how to do this. NOTE: If you stand-by
for an earlier class than you are scheduled and paid for, you
will still have to pay the instructor for the class you stand-by
for at time you get into the class. We will make the money "even"
within 3 days of completion of the class you stand-by for. |
